The current cause of the Gargi unit is to work for the welfare of animals. The members are dedicated to improving the lives of stray animals by providing essential care, such as food, shelter, and veterinary services, while also raising awareness about their plight and advocating for compassionate treatment and humane solutions to stray animal management. .

The unit has installed 15 water bowls in various areas to ensure that both dogs and birds have access to clean water. Additionally, they aspire to provide reflective collars to over 30 stray animals, further enhancing their safety and well-being within the community. .
